Look, she will go back to playing politics soon, as will the other Dems as will the GOP and Trump too.
They can’t help it. But make no mistake – Trump is an independent thinker and independent man (that is why we expelled the establishment and elected him) who can cross party lines to get things done. And that is what we need right now.
Trump ran on a unique platform – he took the best of the GOP and the best of the Dems and created a new coalition.
And that is this time calls for – bold leaders willing to think outside the box and demand the politicians put aside petty politics and do their job.
It is nice to see Ilhan Omar do it even if it does not last.
Rep. Omar responded to The Intercept’s Lee Fang tweeting about Trump’s measures to help Americans during the crisis:

She added, “Ayanna Pressley always says, unprecedented times require unprecedented leadership and we are seeing that in our country right now. I have faith that we will survive this as a nation and build together.”
“Finally, we should never let politics get in the way of good policy. This is a great start and hope others will be part of a united front to push for good policies that will help us work through the economic anxiety the country is feeling right now.”
